Today's Top 10 candidate dish is the Zeppole at Quartino. Quartino is an Italian restaurant in River North (website). It's a nice blend of family style, pizzeria, wine bar, tapas bar, and upscale River North. The Zeppole is a dessert dish - hot Italian doughnuts sprinkled with powdered sugar and dipped in honey. The dough is amazingly fresh and comes right out of the oven. And how can you go wrong with honey? It's a great way to end a meal at one of my favorite Chicago restaurants.(Sorry for the bad pic - I only had my cell phone on hand to take a pic).
